Stockton, Middlesbrough and Redcar schools offer

We are really excited to meet you this Monday 29th November at the Judges Hotel in Yarm. We are expanding our team in the Tees Valley so we're inviting Heads and SENCOs from schools in Stockton, Middlesbrough and Redcar, to join us for a FREE 1-2-1 consultation with an EP. There will also be a chance to talk to the team about how we work in partnership with our schools.

This is a unique opportunity to explore our service, values and approach and see for yourself how your school might benefit from working with an Applied Psychologies Educational Psychologist.

We understand that your EP service is vital to your children's success, yet it is a big financial commitment, so we're offering a 'try before you buy' for one day only.

Why attend a consultation?

The 1-2-1 consultations are 45 minutes long and can be used to talk about specific children (not named), year groups, your approach to SEND or just a chance to talk to the EP and find out more about us.

Consultations are your chance to speak one-to-one with an EP,  to gain a psychological perspective on any topic or issue that is pertinent to your work in school. This could be anything from how to support a particular (unnamed) child, considering pedagogical issues at individual, class or whole school level, exploring issues around staff wellbeing, or reflecting on your whole-school strategic approach to SEND. We will work collaboratively to discuss your specific situation and identify some practical ways forward.

You can book in for both a consultation and training or just the training or consultation.

Consultations are 45 minutes long and are on a first come, first served basis, so please register early to secure your place.

Once you've registered, we'll be in touch to book you in!

Dr Laura Partington

Laura is also local to Stockton and is one of our Directors of Psychology. Laura will be available for consultations and any questions.

Amy Robson

Amy is our Director of Business and will be available on the day if you have any questions relating to our contracts, pricing or service offer.

Since working with Applied Psychologies, we've used our EP in a number of ways:
  • Staff drop-ins – staff were able to drop in to speak to our EP about any concerns they had. This was either about a particular child or whole class. Staff found it valuable to talk to an EP and be able to take advice for moving forward.

  • Observations of particular children – this has supported us with children who we are concerned about and need support to identify next steps moving forward. EP collecting pupil voice has also been incredibly valuable.

  • Staff training – we had a whole school training session on precision teaching. This was very useful in providing a tool that could have an immediate impact on the whole school, rather than a limited number of children.

  • Whole class/cohort support – we have identified a cohort in school with a lot of similar needs and have used EP time to support the whole group.

Kim, SENCO at Rose Wood Academy, Middlesbrough

Our Applied Psychologies EP has become a familiar and valued member of our school community. They work in a way which develops positive, trusted working relationships.

Staff always comment on how supportive and helpful the input is from our EP. As a SENCO I really value the input and opportunity for discussion and problem solving that the AP EP has offered.
