We're recruiting for September starts

Updated: Feb 8

Qualified EPs wanted in each of our 3 geographic hubs for September (earlier starts can be discussed)

Flexible working, full and part time options available:

  • North West: Liverpool area, primary and secondary schools

  • Teesside: Patch of primary schools

  • Hull and Grimsby: Primary, secondary and specialist provisions

We want to hear from passionate EPs looking for their next role. We're growing, and getting ready for another successful year supporting children and young people. If you're considering a new role then get in touch to discuss what it's like as part of Team AP:

  • Talk to us about a role with autonomy, a supportive team and excellent CPD and supervision.

  • Ask us about the opportunity to help shape our service as part of an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT) and share in its success.

  • Find out about how we're progression planning for long and fulfilling careers.

You will be joining our team of 29 assistant, trainee, maingrade and senior EPs, OT, SaLT, therapist and specialist teachers, delivering services to your own patch of schools. You will have the opportunity to build strong relationships and get to understand their needs. You will decide how best to use your time and skills to give your schools the best service, with the support of our experienced team as and when needed.

At Applied Psychologies, you can be creative; we encourage systemic work across schools and trusts, whole class interventions, staff supervision and training. Our assess-plan-do-review model for individual casework also offers the opportunity to design and implement collaborative interventions with schools and families and evaluate impact in the longer-term.

You can expect:

  • competitive rates of pay (Soulbury Pay Scale)

  • a share of company profits as part of our Employee Ownership Trust

  • flexible working

  • a consistent patch of designated schools

  • regular 121 and group supervision

  • an enthusiastic WhatsApp peer supervision group

  • a focus on CPD

  • progression routes into senior and SLT roles

  • opportunities for collaboration with peers in working groups

  • access to our wide range of shared resources which includes assessment, training, intervention and research materials

Most of all, we encourage you to to develop your areas of psychological interest. We want you to love being an EP and love working with us!

As an employed EP you have access to our shared resources and group supervision opportunities as well as support from management and peers. We encourage all of the team to use their CPD budget and learn from and collaborate with their peers to make sure we're the best psychologists we can be.

The role:

We are recruiting for a new team member in each of our geographic hubs. We are open to part and full time roles. For enquiries regarding our North West hub, we can consider Manchester, Liverpool and areas from Cheshire to Southport and across to Burnley.

About you:

  • Do you enjoy building relationships with schools, families and young people?

  • Do you value autonomy within a strongly supportive team?

  • Are you passionate about psychology?

If so, working with Applied Psychologies could be for you!

We are looking for proactive people who really care about delivering positive outcomes for young people, their families and the schools and settings in which they work. We want you to be excited about the opportunities working for Applied Psychologies can bring and the chance to make real change in your schools.

You will also need HCPC registration, Enhanced DBS (we will arrange this for you), a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle or the ability to access public transport to serve your patch.

About us:
