EP needed in in Hull for
September 2025 start

We're looking for a qualified EP to join our Hull team ready for September. Due to continued demand. Full details below...

If you think you could be the right person for our team, please send your CV and cover letter to David at info@appliedpsychologies.com or call 01482 643458 to discuss the role.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Do you enjoy building relationships with schools, families and young people?

Do you value autonomy within a strongly supportive team?

Are you passionate about psychology?

If so, working with Applied Psychologies could be for you!

The position:

We are looking for a qualified EP to work with us in Hull and surrounding areas to support our growing team. We welcome part time, full time, employed and self employed workers. Current third year trainees are welcome to apply.

You will be joining our fabulous Hull team, delivering services to a number of schools in your area. Those schools will be yours for the academic year and you will have the opportunity to build strong relationships and get to understand their needs. You will decide how best to use your time and skills to give your schools the best service, with the support of our experienced team as and when needed. The work you do is limited only by your imagination!

With no statutory work, you can be more creative, for example, offering systemic work (e.g. Appreciative Inquiry) across schools and trusts, whole class interventions, staff supervision and training. Our consultation model allows more children to be seen with less long reports. Our model offers flexibility to the schools as well as the EP and you will have say in how your time is delivered in your schools. Our approach to relationship building offers the opportunity to design and implement collaborative interventions with schools and families and evaluate impact in the longer-term.

The successful candidate can expect:

  • Soulbury pay and mileage allowance

  • 30 days of annual leave plus bank holidays (pro rated)

  • generous yearly CPD budget

  • flexible working across seven days

  • a highly supportive team

  • a strong emphasis on individual and group supervision

  • a consistent patch of designated schools

  • access to our wide range of shared resources which includes assessment, training, intervention and research materials

Self employed EP can expect £500 per day, based on an 8 hour day and access to our supportive, group supervision and shared resources.

Most of all, we encourage creativity and opportunities to develop your areas of psychological interest. We want you to love being an EP and love working for us!

The Team:

Our multi-disciplinary team of 30 is always available for support/advice and is made up of:

  • Advisory Teacher for Interaction and Communication

  • Therapist (Drama, Play)

  • Specialist Paediatric Occupational Therapist

  • Speech and Language Therapist

  • EPs, TEPs and assistant EPs

About you:

We are looking for passionate, proactive people who really care about delivering positive outcomes for young people, their families and the schools and settings in which they work. We want you to be excited about the opportunities working for Applied Psychologies can bring and the chance to make real change in your schools.

You will feel very much part of the team, with access to all shared resources and group supervision opportunities as well as support from management and peers.

The role requires HCPC registration, reliability, consistency and a proactive approach to communication and organisation.
